Elizabeth Inez Rucker's Obituary
RUCKER, ELIZABETH INEZ born June 12, 1922 in Hughes Spring, TX, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012 at the age of 90. Mrs. Rucker was currently attending First Baptist Carrollton and had previously accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. Mrs. Rucker was a Legal Secretary with several law firms including the firm of Donasky and Kortmier. She was past National President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the US Postal Carriers Association. She also served as past National President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the 36th Division Association, and past Secretary for the 36th Museum Gallery Division and held office with the Forest Avenue Alumni. Elizabeth was active in the National Association of Retired Federal Workers and the 36th Division Association up unto recent years. Elizabeth was a caring wife and mother, willing to go the extra mile for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Payne Victor Rucker, Sr. She is survived by her son, Payne Victor Rucker, Jr. of Carrollton, TX and her granddaughter, Jennifer Jeter of Dallas, Texas and great-grandson, Brayden Jeter. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International.
