Ellen Mary Galimore's Obituary
Ellen Mary Galimore was born on October 13, 1939, to Felix and Ellen Mary Galimore Sr. She was one of four children. Her siblings being Olar Lee, Ollie May and Felix Jr. After the passing of her mother, Ellen was blessed with two more sisters, Lillie and Perry Lee, who also preceded her in death.
Ellen joined Red Chute Baptist Church at a young age, where she nurtured her faith. She attended Princeton School, where she showcased her musical talent by playing the drums, and graduated in 1959. In 1961, Ellen moved to Dallas, where she became an exceptional self-taught cook, delighting many with her culinary skills.
Her spiritual journey continued as she joined Goodwill Baptist Church and later became a member of True Believers of Christ Church in 1999. Ellen's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through many years.
Ellen leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her daughter Angela Galimore, granddaughter Patrice Galimore Weiss (Lars), and great-grandson Ezra Weiss from Nice, France. She is also survived by six nieces: Mary Ann, Lorraine (Lawrence), Gracy, Cynthia, Doris, and Pam; seven nephews: Tom Sr., Ricky, Mark, Gregshon, Kenneth, Gary, and Todd; one niece Natasha; and two nephews Willie and Charles who preceded her in death. Ellen's legacy extends to a host of grand and great nieces and nephews, family, and loved ones.
Special friends and caregiver Phil Casey, along with dear friends Tessie Fay, Rose, Veda (Sis), Sister Webb (Blessing), Sister Webb, Alton, and Gwen, will also mourn her passing.
Ellen Mary Galimore's life was a testament to love, faith, and resilience. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
