To the family: My mother, Ruth Cameron Moore, and Ellen were first cousins. I only met her once at my grandmother's (Anna Towles Howell) funeral. I will never forget meeting her. She was such a vibrant lady and I so enjoyed her. Of course, I knew Uncle George and Aunt Artia because mother and her brother Lester lived with them as children after their grandmother died. Their father had died unexpectedly in Alabama and they came to live in Texas, where my grandmother's parents and family were. My mother always credited Aunt Artia for her excellence in school. She skipped two grades and graduated from high school in Fort Worth when she was barely 16. Although this is much belated, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.
