Mrs. Ellen ILene Newby Gardner, age 93, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Rowlett, Texas. She was born to Mr. George Orval Newby and Ms. Mary Esther Rose on May 13, 1928, in Plainview, Illinois. Ellen leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
She married Edward James Gardner on August 9, 1947 in Euclid, Ohio. She was a member of Lakepointe Baptist Church-Rockwall, TX.
She was preceded in death by husband Edward James Gardner.
She is survived by daughter Karen Elaine Gardner Steele & son-in-law Don Michael Steele, son James Edward Gardner & daughter-in-law Evelyn Price, granddaughter Lydia Noel Gardner.
Visitation for Mrs. Ellen ILene Newby Gardner will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. A Service will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 2:00PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
