Ellen Kathleen O'Neal's Obituary
Kathleen was born January 13,1918 in Lewisville, Texas. She lived most of her life in the Lewisville, Coppell and Farmers Branch area. She loved to sew, garden, ride bikes, read and cook. Anyone who knew her, and some strangers, were probably fed by her! She was trusting, generous and fun loving. She loved to go and do everything. In her 97 years Kathleen added 31 lives to this world with 7 children, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and affected many more. She gave to all her children the wonderful gift of family, of unconditional love, the gift of faith. Kathleen lived her life with absolute faith that God would provide if you allow for it and receive it. Because of her faith she was able to meet the challenges of her life and as she grew older and not able to continue her favorite activities she rarely complained or dwelled on her lost abilities. She was a servant of God, a mother to all and our rock. Preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) O’Neal II; daughter, Mary Kathleen O’Neal of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; and son, Joe Wilson O’Neal of Carrollton, Texas. Kathleen is survived by daughters, Barbara Blalock Benkendorfer and Betha May Conley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Joan O’Neal Lumbert of Farmers Branch, Texas; sons, Bill O’Neal of Austin, Texas, and Lon O’Neal of Farmers Branch, Texas; and 24 grandchildren, great grandchildren an great great grandchildren. Kathleen’s family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services for Kathleen will take place at 12:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
