Ellen Irene Richardson's Obituary
Ellen Irene Richardson was a beloved wife, Mom, Ma, and MawMaw. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the age of 85 years old. Ellen was born March 3, 1930 in Noble, Arkansas to Thomas and Mada Jenkins. She married Red Richardson of Taylortown, Texas in 1947. They were married for 43 years. They had three children, Grant, Mary, and Michael. Survived by her son, Grant Richardson and wife, Glenda; daughter, Mary Moody and husband, Brad; son, Michael Richardson and Andrea Cavett; grandchildren, Lesley Ashford and her husband, Brad, Kristen Davis and her husband, Stephen, Heath Noble and his wife, Lisa, Lindsey Warren and her husband, Shawn, Heather Larsen, and Liz, Hilary Moody, Richard Andrews, Sara Richardson; great-grandchildren, Ani Larsen, Leni Larsen, Shane Noble, Loki Larsen, Bryson Warren, Makayla Davis, Dylan Davis; brother, Bill Jenkins and wife, Kerry; sister, Yvonne Howard; and many other loving family members and friends. Ellen graduated from Cunningham High School and attended some college. She was a homemaker and worked with Red at their family feed mill in Paris, Texas until they sold the business. She was then a homemaker until she later worked at Bauman Market Research for many years until she retired. While in Paris, Texas and Dallas, Texas, she and Red taught Sunday school, volunteered with various youth groups. They had a reputation for always opening up their home and having great parties for the youth. Some that even demolished furniture during game time. Ellen enjoyed reading Janette Oke books, working in her yard, doing word search puzzles, watching Jimmy Swagart and John Hagee, telling everyone about the weather, talking on the phone with Von every day, watching the Gaithers Homecoming, cooking, and spending time with her family, Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, Ma, and Mawmaw, who will be greatly missed. Pallbearers for Ellen Richardson: Heath Noble, Brad Ashford, Stephen Davis, Shawn Warren, Monty Howard and Mandel Howard. Family will recieve friends on April 14, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on April 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
