Ellon Jenoice Light's Obituary
LIGHT, ELLON JENOICE (NANA), 93 passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 27, 2012. She was born in Cushing, Texas on June 30,1919 to William Dow and Syrinthia Lee Arrington. Jenoice came to Dallas in her teens to attend beauty college, which launched her 70 year career as a hair dresser and beauty shop owner. She was a Sunday school teacher and a charter member of Royal Haven Baptist Church. Jenoice married her beloved husband, CL (Red) Light on January 12, 1940. She was preceded in death by her spouse, all 8 siblings, and her great grandson, Grant Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Light Reeves; grandchildren, Janine Sieber, James Reeves, and Tammie Williams; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Emily Reeves, David and Jonathan Sieber, and Bliss Williams; nieces, Anna Nelson, Diane Nelson-Voss, and Bee Stevens. Jenoice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. Her life was devoted to serving her Lord and helping others. Loving memories of her will live forever. Visitation will be at Restland, Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and final internment will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel, Monday, December 31, 2012 at 3:00 PM.
