Elma Ethylene Stone's Obituary
Devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great grandmother, Elma Ethylene (Best) Stone passed away on February 22, 2015. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 15, 1924, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel W. Stone, Jr.; parents, Bettie (Browning) Best and Arthur F. Best; stepsister Margie Irick, and stepbrothers Gerald Irick, Dolph Irick, and Lou Craig. Elma married Sam on June 16, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church since 1964 and was a faithful servant as a library volunteer. Elma was an avid gardener, gracious hostess, and a fierce friend. She is survived by her caring son Bill Stone, daughter-in-law Linda, grandson Matthew Stone, granddaughter Lauren LaRocca and her husband Tony LaRocca, and great grandson Jude LaRocca. The visitation for Elma wil be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service for Elma will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Park Cities Baptist Church Ellis Chapel. In liue of flowers memorials may be made to the American Alzheimers’ Assciation.
