My heart is so heavy today - I just got the news. I thank God for men like Elmer and feel blessed I knew him well. He was my friend. He was such a guiding light. Ever the brave voice of reason, Elmer was a true soldier for what was right and good in this world.
Every time we talked, he would always bring Judy and the boys into the conversation. His utter love, devotion, and priority was clear. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
I have been blessed with many good men in my life. Without reservation, I can say that Elmer Murphey was the finest man I have ever known. He inspires me still me to be a better man.
