The Blessed Life of Elmo Harris
Mr. Elmo Harris was born July 5, 1945, in Chireno, Texas to the parentage of the late Mr. Walter Lee Harris (father) and Mrs. Reverga Simmons Kirkland (mother). He graduated from Dunbar High School in Lufkin, Texas on May 28, 1965. He worked for Inland Container Corp in Farmers Branch for 37 years. He was married to Edna Mae Pippens for 34 years.
He was baptized on February 21st, 1999, at Greater New Birth Baptist Church. He served in the Army from September 10, 1966, to September 12, 1971, as an Auto Repair Pat Specialist/ Inventory Clerk.
Elmo was preceded in death by Walter Lee Harris (father), Reverga Simmons Kirkland (mother), and 2 older brothers: Clifton Richardson and Stony Kirkland.
He leaves behind to cherish him, Edna Mae Pippens Harris (wife); 2 daughters, Mia Evette Tell and Jamela Pippens Franklin (Keenan); 4 sons, Terry Moore, Rodrick Smith, Rodney Pippens, and Jonathon Hall; 4 grandchildren, Keosha Harris, Dynisha Harris, Marcus Davis, and Damion Carr; as well as 10 grandbabies.
