Elsie Marie Parsons' Obituary
Elsie Marie Parsons was born May 6, 1931 in Dallas, Texas and passed away peacefully in her sleep July 28, 2018 in Denton, Texas.She was preceded in death by her mother, Dessie Parsons, father, Rupert F. Parsons, and brothers, R.F. (Fred ) Parsons, Jr. and Ted Monroe Parsons.She is survived by a sister, Linda Gail Cullender; children, Susan Marie Carmichael and David Roy Anderson and his wife, Mary Adrian; grandchildren, Leigh Anna Hilton and her husband, James, Kendra Marie Perkins and her husband E. G., Erika Lynn Ramos and her husband, Trey; great-grandchildren, Brad Guy Hilton, Matthew Roy Hilton, Zoey Lux Ramos, Kellen Frost Perkins, Corrina Adrian Ramos, Conely Clayton Perkins , and Ellis Cormac Ramos; and numerous nieces and nephews..A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 9:30 am at The Abbey Chapel followed by burial at Restland Memorial Park. Hank Demous, Chaplain at Good Samaratan will officiate. Family visitation begins at 8:30 am. Pallbearers will be James Hilton, Brad Hilton, Matthew Hilton, Kendall Carmichael, Trey Ramos, and David Parsons Pallbearers will be James Hilton, Brad Hilton, Matthew Hilton, Kendall Carmichael, Trey Ramos, and David ParsonsElsie was an executive secretary with American Airlines based at the Flight Academy retiring in 1995 following 28-and-a-half year career with the airline. Elsie loved to travel, dance, play games, and waterski. Most of all Elsie loved to spend time with her family and friends. Elsie was a very beautiful woman and was admired for her electric blue eyes.Elsie moved into an apartment at Good Samaratan on Hinkle in 2009 . She made many special friends there including her card buddies Wilma, Phyllis, Betty Lee, Lavena, and Carol R. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Denton and joined the Searchers class. She enjoyed several trips with the Trippers joined by her sister, Linda.Elsie’s family wishes to express our gratitude and thanks to Ann’s Haven Hospice for their compassionate care over the last 14 months. We especially want to thank Barbara, her hospice nurse, Wanda, her aide, Dr. Hernandez, the Medical Director, and Elizabeth, the social worker. Also we express heartfelt thanks to Mary Ann Baker, hospice volunteer and long time family friend, and the skilled staff at Good Samataritan on Hinkle who provided outstanding care.
