Elsie Marie Payne's Obituary
Elsie Marie Payne (nee Bachman), 92, of Garland, Texas, died Tuesday November 26, 2019 at The Tradition Memory Care Unit in Dallas, Texas. She was born on June 29, 1927 to Clarence and Elsie Bachman on their dairy farm in Garland, Texas. Elsie was the youngest of six children. The Bachman family moved into the town of Garland shortly after her birth. After graduating from Garland High School, Elsie attended University of North Texas for one year. She then worked at Byer-Rolnick (Resistol Hats) until she married her childhood sweetheart Don Payne, a USAF pilot, on July 21, 1950. Elsie and Don traveled the world along with their 3 children, Victoria, Don Jr. and Robert. Elsie is survived by her 3 children, 2 daughter-in-laws, 8 grandchildren, and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband. Visitation will be at 1pm on Sunday, December 1 at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Cemetery in Dallas. Funeral services will begin at 2pm, at Wildwood Chapel, followed by internment, also at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
