Elvira Torres' Obituary
Elvira Torres, age 85, of Lewisville Texas, joined her husband Pablo in Heaven on Monday, August 8, 2011. Born May 8, 1926 in Rio Grande City, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Guadalupe and Manuela Rodriguez. Elvira was a loving wife and mother, who was compassionate and a helpful friend to many and always thought of the needs of others first. Preceded in death on November 24, 1992 by her beloved husband Pablo M. Torres, whom she married August 18, 1950, she is survived by three children, Paul Torres Jr., Lydia Mewbourn, David Torres; one grandchild Antonio Torres; two brothers Emilio, Edward Rodriguez, and her sister Estefana Rodriguez Narvaez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse, Lupe, Blas, Gregorio, and her beloved sister Helen. Elvira will be greatly missed by all. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated by Father John Szatkowski at August 112011 at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 3100 West Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023-3903. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
