Elvis "Butch" de la Cruz's Obituary
Elvis “Butch” de la Cruz, age 67, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1958, in the Philippines and was the beloved son of Fausto and Estrella.
Elvis was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known for his generosity, humor, and love of music. He enjoyed cooking, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He had a playful spirit, a big heart, and always found ways to make people laugh.
On his 17th birthday, Elvis immigrated from the Philippines to Illinois with his family, eventually making Texas his home in 1985.
He is survived by his daughter, Mariel, granddaughter, Madeleine, and siblings Romy, Naome, Edwin, Floyd, Esfa, and Maria, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fausto and Estrella, and sisters, Pacita and Myrna.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
Elvis will be laid to rest near his beloved parents, surrounded by family and love.
