I now live in Maple Valley, Washington. Just heard of the passing of Emilio. My husband and I were neighbors in Garland, TX with the Fernandez family and my daughter was friends with Maritza & Mitzi. My husband Larry died July 3, 2017 and is buried in Restland too. To his family, this is sad news I am just hearing and wishing each member, especially his wife and children are able to embrace the good that surrounds them as they continue to miss this sweet man. A year has come and gone and each day I think of you and am reminded of your love and the precious memories we had together. It was so hard to lose you and I miss you every day. I think about you in heaven and how you must be so free from the pain and suffering you had been living with for so long and how joyful you must be now. I hope one day you will be there to take me into heaven to be with you and all of our loved ones.

It was a very sad day when you passed, I have a hole in my heart. Walking down that hospital hall to your room after the news was the hardest walk I have ever done. I am thankful you are no longer in pain and you are watching over us from above.
You were a great friend, husband, father, brother and grandfather. You were a happy man, always cheerful even when you were not feeling that good. I am especially thankful that Terry introduced herself to you when your girls were young (she was looking for someone our kids could play with). That was the beginning of a nearly forty year special friendship.
I also have many great memories of the many happy events we shared:
•Our softball games and the after parties
•Hunting in west Texas at the McDonald ranch (he called us his Indians). So many adventures, so many stories.
•Our many ski trips to Colorado with the families.
•Camping and hiking with the wives and kids
•Cowboy games at your house and the dollar bets at kick-off, with you hollering KICKOFF after each score so we would remember to put our dollar in the pot.
So many memories…..You were my friend and I will always remember you
