I went to Greiner with Emily and had been thinking about her. I remember helping her to her classes and just being a friend to her. I thought of her often through the years. I looked her up only to find that she has gone to be with the Lord. She was a very sweet girl and I will keep you in my prayers.
I met Emily at the Music Hall Fair Park. She and her mother would always come in the store and purchase and hold a long enjoyable conversation with my coworkers and myself. It was a delight to see them come. I was given the sad news that Emily had passed away. I felt like I lost a close relative. My prayers are with the family.
Debbie I am so very sorry for your loss. She really was a beautiful little girl! She ran up to me at my baby shower and said remember me I'm Emily! That was really hard day but she being there was truly a blessing. I wish we had not lost touch I think of you often. Deanna Hepner (DeDe Boyd)
Debbie and Don – it was good to see you at the Music Hall tonight, and with sadness and love, to hear of Emily's passing. Debbie it was so good to hear your voice and talk with you. You are forever in my heart and in my prayers. Emily was one of a kind. They broke the mold after she was born. Those years with our girls at Milam were the best. The recitals and the drama performances, the kids had so much fun. Emily was always amazing. She could play her violin like no one else. It was a treat when she played. Do you remember the Alice in Wonderland play and Shakespeare at the Globe Theater. Emily could do it all and loved doing it. But what was really special was her smile. She always was smiling and had something to say. She was like a bubble about to burst, full of life and fun. I know God called her, I am just glad he shared her with us for a little while. I truly enjoyed the many times I shared with Emily; musical productions, jazz concerts etc. The most talented violinist you could ever hear! Aside from all these talents she was an even better person; willing to help and give to others. A great friend who carried such a positive attitude in life despite many health issues she had been dealing with a long time. I will miss Emily, her talents, her music and most of all her friendship.
