Emily Marie Wiegman's Obituary
WIEGMAN, EMILY MARIE was born September 18, 1915 in Gerty, Oklahoma to William H. & Julia Standridge and died July 24, 2012 at Westward Trails Nursing Center in Nacogdoches, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, August 17th, 6 to 8 P.M. at Restland Funeral Home,13005 Greenville Ave. in Dallas. Services are 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Internment at Court of Remembrance in Restland Memorial Park. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Wiegman; her parents; sister, LaVanda Wilkins and 2 infant granddaughters. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Sylva Bradley of Mineola, TX, Glenn & Shadley Wiegman of McMinnville, OR, Beth & Tim Warkentin of Nacogdoches, TX; Rev. Chalmer & Judi Wiegman of Euless, TX; Birdette & Kaye Wiegman of Wylie, TX; Dee Lores & Wayne Stephens of Nacogdoches, TX; Jan Wiegman of Nacogdoches, TX; Dr. Ralph & Karen Wiegman of Grand Prairie, TX; 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; 2 great-great-great granddaughters; a niece and a nephew. Marie attended Murray State College in Tishomingo, OK and Bethany Peniel College in Bethany, OK where she met her husband. They enjoyed 61 years together farming wheat land in Claude, TX for 16 years, living in Amarillo, TX for 34 years where Marie retired as head cashier at Montgomery Ward in 1984, and then managing their youngest son’s ranch near Canton,TX for 11 years. Marie came to know Christ as her Savior at a young age and was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene. She desired to raise a Christian family and her prayers still follow us for an unbroken circle in heaven. Pallbearers are the grandsons of “Mama Rie Wiegman”. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International, Nacogdoches Treatment Center or Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.
