Emma Marguerite Davis' Obituary
Born June 14, 1917 in Prosper, TX, to George and Hattie Conn went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2009. Marguerite, a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Plano, was Granny and Aunt Marguerite to what seems a multitude of friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Davis, her brothers, Buck, Sham, and Mike Conn, and her sisters, Alice “Boveta” Wesson and Audie Easley. She is survived by sons, Leon and Charles and Charles’ wife, Janet. Marguerite was blessed with six grandchildren: Tisch Brandon, Donald Davis, Kelly Miller, Jamie Espinoza, Tracy and Nancy Davis, Dustin and Joe Grams, and several great-grandchildren, each of which were so special to her. Ms. Davis attended Carrollton High School and received LVN training at Baylor Hospital. She served as a loving and dedicated nurse for many years, working in both private practice and in many local hospitals. Marguerite was an avid fisherman and traveler. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, and funeral service will take place on Monday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m., both at Restland Memorial Park. Memorial Donations may be made in Marguerite’s name to First Christian Church of Plano Building Fund or St. Jude’s Hospital.
