Emma Laverne Naylor's Obituary
On Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 89, Emma L. Naylor went home. Emma was born in Mountainair, New Mexico on August 28, 1926 to Carl U. and Emma V. Jones. At a young age Emma became a permanent fixture of the Baptist and later the Nazarene church. Her strong connection with the churches was never broken. Emma graduated from Mountainair High School in 1944. She married K.D. Naylor in 1946 in San Francisco and later worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Emma and K.D. were blessed with a daughter, Diane and later a son Charles. She served on the boards of several organizations which promoted women’s professional development in the workplace including the American Business Women’s Association and similar organizations in the U. S. Post Office. Emma was always outgoing and made friends easily no matter where she was or who she was with. A Celebration of Her Life will be held Thursday August 4, 2016 at Restland Dallas.
