Emma Sue Melville's Obituary
Melville, Emma Sue was born on February 3, 1937 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on January 31, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Herman Green; mother, Mabel (Kirk) Green; and sister, Bobbie Craft. She became a widow in 1982 when she survived her husband, Rick Melville of the United States Navy. Emma was a Dallas resident her entire life. She retired from Honeywell in Dallas, Texas in 1999. Emma spent the years following retirement caring for her grandchildren, gardening and enjoying her dogs. She remained a strong and independent woman until the Lord called her home on January 31st, 2014 with her children at her bedside. Emma was loved deeply by her friends and family. The Latham/Little family wishes to express their gratitude to Montclair Estates where she had resided for the last two years. A Special Thank you to the many Physicians and Nurses at Baylor Garland who cared for Emma Sue in her last days. All of her caregivers are angels that walk amongst us. Emma is survived by sisters, Helen Lucretia “Cricket” Hammonds, and Margaret Young; her loving children, Timothy (Alice) Latham, Kimberly (Merle) Little, and Brenda K. Latham; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Service will be held on February 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel in Dallas, Texas.
