Emory E. Walker's Obituary
WALKER, EMORY E., 77, passed away on April 5, 2014 at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas from the complications of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Born in Lexington, Virginia, he was the youngest son of the late Charles Henry Walker, Sr. and Josephine Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles H. Walker, Jr.; and his sisters Joanne Forbes and Betty Lynch. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marylinia Walker; three daughters: Carolyn Myers and husband Benjamin of Mesquite, Texas.; Terri Walker and husband Randall Skold of Bowie, Maryland, and Linda Walker-Abbott of Memphis, Tennessee; two grandchildren: Benjamin Myers of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Christina Myers of Alexandria, Virginia; two sisters: Lois Green and Constance Merchant of Lexington; one sister-in-law: Florine Walker of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be April 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Harrison Funeral Home, 714 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on April 19, 2014 at the Randolph Street Methodist Church in Lexington, Virginia. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
