Emroy Parks Higley Quevreaux's Obituary
Born in Emmetsburg, Iowa on October 10, 1921, to John and Ethel Higley, and passed away November 11, 2015. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS in Nursing, served as a nurse and Lieutenant in the US Navy, where she met her husband Ken. They married July 3, 1945. Both were avid golfers, belonged to Brookhaven Country Club, where she was president of the BWGA, and Ridgeview Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Emroy worked markets for Fitz and Floyd for several years. Emroy is preceded by her husband of 69 years, her parents, two sisters, and daughter Joanne Coleman. She is survived by her brother Skip Higley, son Jim and Sharon Quevreaux, daughter Judy and Pat Foley, Floyd Coleman, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank caregiver Vivian Blackman and also the Prestonwood Rehabilitation staff for the care they provided these past few years. Graveside Service will take place at 10:30 am, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park, Court of Trinity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Metrocrest Social Services or charity of your choice.
