Encarnacion Garcia's Obituary
Encarnacion Garcia was born November 12, 1929, in Brownsville, Texas and passed away February 8, 2017, in Dallas, Texas. He was known to many as Chon. Chon was preceded in death by his parents, Sotela and Mariano, two brothers Doroteo and Juan and three sisters, Margarita, Frances, and Oralia. He is survived by his wife Teresa, two sons Robert and Richard, and one grandson, Robert Jr., and many nieces and nephews. Chon proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1953. After the Air Force he moved to Brownwood, Texas where he met his wife, and a few years later moved to Dallas, Texas and began his career as an Optician. Chon was known to be the life of a party – very gregarious and he would speak to everybody. Chon is beloved by many and he developed caring and loving relationships with his family members. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Restland Memorial Chapel, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. Funeral services are planned for Monday, February 13, 2017, at 12:30 pm, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
