Erdena G Rico's Obituary
Erdena Gonzales Rico passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024. Erdena was 92 years old.
She was born in Dallas, Texas on October 14, 1931, to Antonio and Andrea Gonzales.
Erdena’s faith in Jesus Christ was always very strong and evident, always trusting God’s plan for her life. Her family draws strength, peace, and comfort knowing that she is now in Heaven with her Savior.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to so many. Her children and grandchildren affectionately call her “Nannie”. Her hobbies were sewing and ceramics. She had 10 children and was a devoted parent. She put all of her effort and energy into raising her family, which meant everything to her. Her love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family was beyond measure.
Erdena is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers – Rudy, Abel, Sabo, Andrew, two sisters – Elizabeth and Irene, three sons – Richard, Robert, and Bobby, one daughter – Rose, three grandchildren – Christopher, Jason, and Toby, and one great-grandchild – Gabriel.
Erdena is survived by her brother, David and his wife Mary, and her children Ray, Roberta, Manuel and wife Rosemary, Dora and her husband Richard, Andrea and her husband Ron, and Sam and his wife Roberta.
Nannie is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Jeanette, Christina, Jeffrey, Paul, Shelley, Candace, Danielle, Lauren, Vincent, Nick, Victoria, Philip, Eva, Julia, Alyssa, and Samantha.
She is also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family also wants to thank Allied Hospice and their Home Health team for their care of Erdena over the past few months. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to plant a tree in honor and memory of Erdena.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Burial at Restland Memorial Park will follow the funeral service.
