Eric Carnell Brown's Obituary
On December 7, 2025, Eric Carnell Brown transitioned from this life into the glorious Kingdom of God.
Eric Carnell Brown was born on February 13, 1986, in New Orleans, LA to the late Leroy Moss, Sr
and Annette Cecile Brown. He received Christ at a young age. Eric grew up in New Orleans, LA, surrounded by the warmth of a close family and a strong sense of community. Eric received his education in the New Orleans public school system where he graduated from John McDonald Senior High School (New Orleans, LA).
From a young age, Eric was known for his hard-working spirit and his willingness to help others. He built a career as a welder; a trade imparted him and his twin brother, Derrick, from their father Leroy. They were taught determination and hard work. To leave a legacy for the twins, Leroy started E&D Iron Works where he, Eric and Derrick worked side by side building iron doors, electric gates, fences, etc. throughout the New Orleans Metroplex. Eric took his profession seriously so after moving to Texas, he sharpened his welding skills by attending welding school. He worked for various companies, but found his fit at Watson & Chalin Manufacturing, Inc (McKinney, TX), where he was known as a dependable and dedicated worker.
Eric moved to Texas to be near his mother and siblings. He was a true family man. He helped raise his nieces and nephews. He even coached his nephew in little league football. He eventually built a family of his own. He moved from Texas to multiple states, but Texas eventually became home.
Eric’s life was a testament of quiet strength, loyalty, and love. He had a way of making people feel seen and valued. The laughter he brought, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely, will be deeply missed. We thank God for the time we were blessed to share with him.
He was a son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and a friend. His spirit, his smile, and his kindness, will remain with us always.
