Eric Farabaugh's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Farabaugh announces his passing on June 7, 2018, in Plano after a lengthy illness. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Gloria (Ramirez) and his sons, Patrick and Kyle.Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Eric moved to the Dallas area with his family at the age of 5. He attended Jesuit Preparatory College in Dallas and received a degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University. Retired, Eric ended a 24-year career at Frito Lay as a Senior Vice President in Research and Development. Among his many accomplishments, he is best known for inventing Tostitos Scoops. Eric loved playing the guitar and the piano but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the pool or the beach during the summerHe is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Farabaugh and his son Ryan James Farabaugh. Eric will be greatly missed by family and friends.A memorial service will be held Monday, June 11, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas. The family will meet at the funeral home at 11:30 for the rosary.“For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” 1 Thess. 4:14
