Eric Wheeler Trant, born April 9, 1971, in Lafayette, Louisiana and passed away on June 13, 2018, in the Colony, Texas.Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Joy Mae Trant, and son, Dastan Jerome Wheeler Trant. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Lynn Trant; daughter, Brianne Beverly DeAtley; sons, Connor Nathan Trant and Finn Michael Lynn Trant; father, Wheeler Trant and his wife, Diane Trant; brothers, Nathan Trant, Pat Williams and David Williams; sisters, Wyla Williams, Sandra Maxwell, Kym Hunt and Kristee Hunt; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He graduated from Anahuac High School in 1989 and has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas in 1994. Eric was an author with three books published and an accomplished Engineer. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping but most of all, spending time with his family.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 6: 00 PM to 8:00PMM at Restland Funeral Home.
