Erle Newcomb Daniels' Obituary
Daniels, Erle N, age 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 16th, 2017. He was born on December 29th, 1929 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Erle married Elizabeth (Betty) Campbell Thomson who became his life-long partner in March of 1952. As a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he went on to become a salesman for Frye Copy Systems for 36 years. During this time, Erle would live in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Dallas and Cincinnati. Eventually, he retired to South Padre Island with his wife, Betty. Erle and Betty celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage (just ask Betty)! To many of his closest friends, Erle Daniels will be remembered by his love of fishing, pocketed t-shirts, elastic waistbands, and an open invitation to daily happy hours at the condo (as long as you drank boxed wine). To his family, however, Erle will be remembered as being the ultimate family man. His legacy will undoubtedly be the Daniels Family that he loved so much and worked so hard for. Erle is survived by his loving wife, Betty; son, Earl Daniels (married to Susan); daughters, Robin Daniels-Brown (married to Lee), Ellen Carlston, Jean Russell (married to Mike); grandchildren, Travis, Clayton, DJ (married to Shauna), Alexandra, Jamie, Haley, Erik; great grandchildren, Olin and Burke (twin sons of DJ and Shauna); niece, Bonnie Host; nephews, Jeff and Scott Widmann.
