Erma Lee Patterson's Obituary
Erma Lee Patterson, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2020, in Garland, Texas. She was born on August 10, 1926, to her loving and thoughtful parents, Odie Brooks and Katherine Brooks in Dallas, Texas. Erma Lee Patterson will be sincerely missed by her loving family, her devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
On November 1, 1953 She married Dudley in Dallas, TX and she was a homemaker. She took great pride in her family, her and dad enjoyed vacation trips and camping with children and grandchildren. She loved going to the farm with dad and our family events, her happiness was with her family. She loved to wait on people, her main focus was to make sure you were not hungry. She never had a dishwasher and insisted on washing all dishes at every function. You never went hungry at our mom's house. Our mom never complained, her main concern was you. Even though our mother graduated a year early and she could have had a business career, she chose to be a loving wife, mom and grandmother. Our mom was the best.
She is survived by daughters Sandra Buckner( husband John), Garland, TX, Pam White, Dallas, TX, son David Patterson( wife Jennifer), Lavon, TX, nine grandchildren Brian, Jeremy, Paul, Scott, Kevin, Gary, Randy, Jacob, Jason. fourteen great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by spouse Dudley Patterson, sisters Kathleen Adams of Fort Worth, TX, Imogene George of Sherman, TX, Babe Ruth of Oak Cliff, TX, Elizabeth Holcomb of Dallas, TX.
Visitation for Erma Lee Patterson will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
