Erman Abe Wood Jr.'s Obituary
Erman Abe Wood was born August 8, 1926 and went to be with his Lord in Heaven on October 31, 2017. A graduate of North Dallas High School, Erman enlisted in the Army Air Corp and was stationed near Naples, Italy in the 492nd Air Service Group, 36th Depot Repair Squadron. He also served in the Naval Reserves. Erman graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Geology. Soon after he married Patricia Hudel in Dallas. Erman was a 32nd Degree Mason for over 60 years and a member of Pentagon Lodge #1080 in Dallas and a Past Patron and member of Roy Stanley #1027 OES. Erman was preceded in death by his Parents, Erman Abe Wood, Sr. and Vera Wilson Wood; his Wife of 47 years Patricia Hudel Wood; Sisters, Ermal Dodson and Jannie Custer. He is survived by his current wife of 18 years, Shirley Sell Wood; daughters- Kathryn Redman and husband Edwin, Vickie Montgomery and husband Randy; Grandchildren, Christy Saenz and husband Robert, Rachael Wheeler and husband Shawn, Jessica York and husband Billy, Jennifer Montgomery and Alison Montgomery; Great Grand Children, Nickolas and Christopher Wheeler; Sisters-In-Law, Betty Sebring, Bobbie Sewall and husband Tommy; Stepsons, James, Douglas and Michael Sell; Step Grandchildren, Rebekah Butler, Jakob, Leanna and Luke Sell, as well as many nieces and nephews. Erman will continue to be in the memories of those who loved him and were fortunate enough to have known him. Visitation will be on Thursday November 2nd, 6-8pm, at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, November 3rd, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Restland Wildwood Chapel with Dr. Clayton Oliphint officiating. Interment to follow in Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pot of Gold Foundation, Grand Assembly of Texas, IORG at P.O. Box 117146, Carrollton, TX. 75011-7146
