Ernest "Chuck" Church's Obituary
Ernest “Chuck” Church was born January 5, 1931 in Vernon, TX to parents Clarence Ernest Church and Iva Bray. He passed away October 16, 2016 in Denton, TX. He was 85 years of age. Chuck was raised in South Dallas. He served two years in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Teamsters. He was married in 1965 and lived with his wife Sharon in Irving, TX until her death in 2010. He worked for the Wall Street Journal, for Aermotor Windmill Company repairing and building windmills, and also as a truck driver. He continued to work after retirement until he was 81. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his younger brother, Clarence Wayne Church; and his wife, Sharon Church. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Gretchen Church of Irving, TX; his sister, Evelyn St. Clair of Mesquite, TX; many nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home in staterooms N-O. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Michael Waco will officiate and arrangments are under the direction of Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
