Ernest R. Holcomb, Jr.'s Obituary
Ernie Holcomb passed away November 11, 2021. He was born in Zwolle, Louisiana to Madge and Ernest R. Holcomb, Sr. He is predeceased by his parents; sister, Helen Liverman of Shreveport, Louisiana; and his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Holcomb.
Ernie is survived by his twin sons, Reid and his wife, Holly of Dallas, TX, Randy and his wife, Dana of Indianapolis, IN; grandson, Cole of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He lived in several towns and cities in Louisiana and Texas when he was young. He graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana, TX, and from L.S.U. with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Ernie is a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Corps of Engineers. He worked his entire career in the electrical utility industry retiring from Texas Utilities Electric Company as a Senior Vice President and was a partner in the consulting engineering firm of Holcomb, Bergstrom and Associates.
