Esta Holben's Obituary
Esta Marie Holben entered the church triumphant Friday, August 19, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son Les and his partner Denis; her daughter Jodi; her son Kris, his wife Jennifer, and grandchildren Chris and Jimmy; her cats Zeke and Taggert; and many grand-dogs, grand-cats, grand-birds, and grand-bunnies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Howard Holben. Esta, an animal lover and ardent bird watcher, was known among her friends and family for her generous heart, always trying to make a difference. She served for many years as a volunteer delivering Meals on Wheels. She was also very active at Messiah Lutheran Church, volunteering in the church office, making devotionals for the blind, and sewing quilts for missions. An avid reader, her quick wit and youthful vigor will be missed by all. Services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday 24, 2011 at Messiah Lutheran Church.
