Esther Bienstock's Obituary
Esther Bienstock was born on August 12, 1927 in Poland and passed away on August 30, 2016 in Plano, TX. Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Mendel Bienstock. She is survived by her daughter, Margie Spruchman and husband, Randy; son, Michael Bienstock; her grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Spruchman. Esther Bienstock was an extraordinary woman. At the young age of 13, she was separated from her family and forced to live in a concentration camp for five years. Due to her strength and will to live, she survived. After being liberated from the camp, she met her husband, who was also a holocaust survivor, in a displacement Camp. They married and moved to the United States where they raised two children. Esther always put the needs of others, especially those of her children, before her own. She sacrificed, as did her husband, so they could provide the type of life for their children that they never had. She was a loving and selfless individual who never engaged in self-pity. After her husband passed away, Esther moved to a retirement community in Florida. She loved her time in Florida where she lived a very active and social life. She participated in many activities and thoroughly enjoyed her new life in Florida. She also traveled around the country and the world. She lived her life to the fullest. About five years ago, Esther moved to the Dallas area. During this time, she enjoyed being with her daughter, son, son-in-law, and her grandchildren. She had wonderful times while living in the Dallas area and was able to spend more time with her grandchildren. Moving to Dallas provided her grandchildren with the time to get to know her and learn about her many accomplishments. Esther was a loving, independent and strong person who was an inspiration to her children, grandchildren and all who knew her. Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00AM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
