Esther Louise Moore's Obituary
Esther Louise Moore, wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend passed away on May 9th, 2023. Born in Brockton, MA on January 26th, 1929 to Levon and Nellie May Kasparian, she grew up surrounded by a large family.
Esther graduated from Brockton High in 1947. Her first job after high school was working as a telephone operator. In 1950 she moved to New York to become a flight attendant for American Airlines. Her flying years were very exciting as she got to travel the country and meet many famous celebrities. She was later based in Dallas and met Kenneth Moore who she married in 1955. Esther was active with the Kiwi Club (former and current American Airlines Flight Attendants), from the late 1960’s up into the 1990’s, hosting and helping organize social events. It was with the Kiwi Club that she met and became close friends with actress Dorothy Malone. Esther loved to paint and spent many hours at the easel making her visions come to life whether it was a bowl of apples or a rural farmhouse. In later years, her passion was politics and current events. She volunteered at the local polling place for many years. Esther loved to read and always had a stack of political or celebrity biographies nearby. She was especially good at finishing the NY Times crossword puzzle every week.
Esther was dedicated to her family and was always loving and supportive. Hardly a Thanksgiving went by without someone new being invited to join the family. She was very proud of her Armenian heritage and was tireless in preserving the family history.
Esther is preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband Kenneth E. Moore, sisters Victoria, Alice and brothers Paul, Levon Jr, George and Leon. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth E Moore Jr of Dallas and Kevin Moore and daughter-in law Colleen Moore of Frisco. Grandchildren, Emily and Caroline Moore of Rowlett; Owen, Kira, Ian Moore of Frisco and half-brother Deveron Cole of MA.
There will be a private celebration of life for immediate family members only.
Esther was very patriotic and the family would like you to consider honoring her life by making a donation to Paralyzed Veterans of America (https://pva.org/).
