Ethel Laraine Holmes' Obituary
Laraine Holmes, 92, born September 2, 1925 in Bonham, Texas, passed away December 27, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.Laraine is preceded in death by her husband Howard Holmes, parents Huron and Bessie Scrivner.Laraine was a member of Odd Fellow/Rebekah Lodge and worked as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She was loved by all who knew her. She was a role model to her children. She loved to travel and always had a sense of adventure. She was married to Howard, the love of her life for almost forty years, until his death in 2010. We will miss her terribly but know that she is strolling hand in hand with Pop as they are now reunited in Heaven.Laraine is survived by her daughters; Carol McQueary and husband Mike of Dallas, Texas, Lorri Halkstedde and husband Ed of Bremerton, Washington, sons; Denny Robnett and wife Renee of Bonham, Texas, Howard Holmes Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Ernest Holmes of Colorado Springs, Colorado, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel. Entombment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Restland Memorial Park, Abbey Mausoleum.
