Eugene married the love of his life, Mary on December 22, 1971. Goo had a heart of gold which was evident in his life’s work of supporting children, particularly those with special needs. He furthered his love and support of children during his role as the manager of the Emergency Action Program for the Special Education/Alternative Education Center of the Carrollton-Farmer's Branch School District and during his time with Richardson Independent School District where he most served children with special needs.
