I want to say that Papa was my best friend. I can remember crawling down the pew at FBC Sachse into his arms so I could go home with him and Meemaw. The past 7 years we would eat crazy catfish and watch the Texas Rangers as much as we could together. Papa would always tell me how much he loved Meemaw and how much he missed her. Well a week ago Papa crawled into the arms of Jesus for eternity and was able to walk and talk with Meemaw.
I had to drop him off at Medical City Dallas when He decided he could not endure the pain any longer. And then when they allowed him to have one visitor a day - I was able to see Him again. And there in that hospital bed Papa told me that He remembered the day he was saved and asked Jesus to be Lord of his life. He found the Lords forgiveness on the same day that my dad (David Meeks) was called to preach.
All this was said to say! If you know Jesus as your savior then you will be able to see Papa again in Heaven. So, we can celebrate that Papa graduated from here to Glory! If you don’t know Jesus then please ask Him to come into your heart. Romans 10:9-10
