Eugene F. Simpson's Obituary
Eugene Forbus Simpson of Dallas, Texas passed away December 26, 2015 at Signature Pointe Assisted living in Dallas, Texas. He was 90 years old. Gene was born in Los Angeles, California on April 20, 1925 to parents Charles Joe Simpson and Verda Mae (Burton) Simpson. On September 4, 1943 he entered the US Navy and served as Aviation Machinist First Class and was honorably discharged in August 1946. On June 7th, 1947 he married Christine Robinson. They made their home in Dallas, Texas. Gene began his career in transportation working at C. J. Simpson Trucking Company from 1946 to 1964 serving various positions in operations and sales department. In 1964 he started with C & H Transportation Company in sales and was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing until his retirement. Preceding him in death were his parents Charles and Verda Mae Simpson, and one son Kenneth Simpson. Survivors include his wife Christine Simpson, his son Bill Simpson and wife Teresa of Richardson, Texas; two grandchildren, Rebecca Simpson of Plano and Ashley Parker and husband Kris of Fort Collins, Colorado; one brother Floyd Simpson and wife Wanda; and one sister Shirley Fallis and husband Ken both of Dallas and many nieces and nephews. Services will take place at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Restland Abbey Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice
