Eugenia Vasquez Moreno's Obituary
Mrs. Eugenia Vasquez Moreno, age 96, of Irving, Texas, passed away on February 24, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Samuel Moreno for over 60 years, who preceded her in death. Together, they were blessed with four children, two sons David Moreno and Fabian Moreno, and two daughters Anna Lopez and Maria “Mary” Moreno, with Fabian and Maria preceding her in death. Eugenia was a pillar of strength and love within her family, finding joy in entertaining, cooking, and tending to her yard. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her cherished family.
Devoted to her faith, Eugenia was an active member of the Agape United Methodist Church, where she found solace and community. She also dedicated her time to the United Methodist Women’s Organization, exemplifying her commitment to serving others.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Moreno, as well as her three brothers Marcus Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez, and Frank Vasquez, and her four sisters Frances Salazar, Pauline Cervantes, Marcela Gonzales, and Linda Contreras.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by her two children David Moreno (Kathy Moreno) and Anna Lopez (Arnold Lopez), her sister Juana Trillo, grandchildren Elysia Marquez, Michael Moreno, Aaron Lopez, Nicole Moreno and Danielle Moreno, and great-grandchildren Evan Llamas, Mark Marquez, Arlo Lopez, Owen & Amelia Hawkins, and Fabian & Logan. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews. Eugenia will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and grace.
Visitation for Eugenia Vasquez Moreno will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A Service will be Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
