Eula Floye Culibrk's Obituary
CULIBRK, EULA FLOYE was born in Cash, Texas, which is thirty-four miles south of Greenville, Texas. The family soon moved to Dallas and settled there. Floye grew up in Dallas during the Depression. She graduated from Crozier Technical High School. She became engaged to Milan and they were married in February of 1941. They moved to Hawaii where Milan worked for the U.S. Army in a refrigeration plant and Floye worked for the Navy in Pearl Harbor. When Milan was drafted into the army and sent to the Philippines, Floye moved back to Dallas and worked in Grand Prairie for one of the defense plants. After the war, Milan and Floye settled in Dallas and started a heating and air conditioning contracting business. They operated the business until 1993 when Milan became ill and the business was closed. Floye was persuaded to leave her beloved Dallas and move to Fort Worth about four years ago in order to be near her family. She lived independently in her own apartment, driving her own car, and conducting her own shopping until the week of her illness and death. Floye is survived by her daughter, Dee Ann, her son-in- law, Jim, four grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She has one cousin and one nephew in Dallas, and one nephew and three nieces in California. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 1923 at Restland Memorial Park.
