Eunice Newbold Clark's Obituary
Eunice Newbold Clark passed away on November 25th, 2016 after a long illness. She was 98 years old. Born on January 19th, 1918 on a farm north of Minden, NE, Eunice was the seventh of ten children. After business school in Tulsa, OK, Eunice was employed in 1937 by Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Corporation. She met Wayne Bernard Clark in Tulsa, OK, and they married on October 5th, 1940. Starting a family there, then in Amarillo, TX, Oklahoma City, and back to Tulsa, Eunice and Wayne made their final home in Dallas, TX. Beginning in the mid-1960’s, Eunice began researching, then complied and published a genealogy book, The Clarks from Pennsylvania and Allied Families, in 1984. She then took on the gargantuan task of researching, compiling and writing Six American Colonists and their Descendants, published in 1995, the first of three genealogical editions. Eunice and Wayne have a large remaining family, including two sons (Frederic Lewis with wife Phyllis Patterson Clark, Thomas Alan with wife Dr. Jackie Phelps Clark), and one daughter (Mary Lee Clark); five grandchildren (Dr. Jennifer Lynn Clark with husband Steven Harrison, Dr. Nathaniel Lewis with wife Naty Eugenia de Menezes Clark, Melissa Anne Clark with husband Brad Roberts, Lindsay Clark with husband Reiner Zuercher, and Lauren Clark with husband Paul Stankiewicz); and twelve great grandchildren (Alexis Clara and Aubrey Lynn Harrison; Alison Lorraine, Matthew Lewis, and Elodie Arraiol Clark; John Ethan, Ellie Kate, and Cassidy Jordan Roberts; Miriam Elena Zuercher; and Regina Anne, Emma Grace and Ava Ruth Stankiewicz), with a thirteenth great grandchild on the way. A memorial service to celebrate Eunice N. Clark’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 5th, 2016, at Restland Cemetery (13005 Greenville Avenue) in Abbey Chapel. Burial at the interment site will proceed directly afterward at Abbey Estates. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift in the name of Eunice N. and Wayne B. Clark may be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch(www.calfarley.org), one of their longtime favorite charities, or to the charity of your choice.
