Eva “Granny” Bunnell, age 97, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2019 in Irving, Texas. Eva “Granny” Bunnell was born on December 25, 1921 to her loving and thoughtful parents Udolf Austin and Amy Long Austin in Twin Sisters, TX. Eva married A.E. Bunnell on December 17, 1943. She is survived by Daughters: Randy Weatherford and husband Jimmy, Linda Simpkins and husband Jim, sister Orval Crider, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, her devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her spouse A.E Bunnell and Grandson A.J Simpkins, sister Velma Barker- Brother Eddie Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.Granny lived her last 6 years at Avante Rehabilitation in Irving, where she became part of the Avante Family. Her Family deeply thanks the Avante family for taking such great care of her the last years. She loved deeply and was loved deeply by many. She was born on Christmas Day and after 97 years went home on Good Friday which is a great testament to her faith.At this time, funeral services for Eva “Granny” Bunnell are as follows: viewing is Wednesday 4/24/2019 from 6-8 PM and the service is in the Memorial Chapel Thursday 4/25/19 at 2:30 PM.Funeral arrangements for Eva “Granny” Bunnell have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
