Eva Ruth Hopper's Obituary
Eva Ruth Hopper, age 90 of Carrollton, Texas passed away peacefully December 18, 2014. Born in Dallas, September 15, 1924, she was a graduate of North Dallas High School. She worked for Sanger Harris and Continental Insurance but her primary joy was being a homemaker. She spent most of her life caring for her family, parents, siblings, nieces and great niece and nephew. She lived in Oak Cliff for over 50 years and moved to Carrollton in 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eva Hopper; sisters, Jeanette Melissa Spratt and husband Jack, Verna Bell Gregory and husband Jay, and her niece, Kathleen Melissa Spratt. She is survived by her nieces, Rose Marie Spratt, Cyndi Lucky and her husband Steve Lucky, great nephew Jay Luprete and wife Lauren, great niece Eva Christine Luprete. Eva Ruth was an incredible cook and a nurturing, loving, compassionate lady who, although never having children of her own, became a mother and grandmother to us all. There are no words to describe such a charitable lady. She is an example for all who knew her. She will be remembered with fond and loving memories all the days of our lives. The visitation for Eva Hopper will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. A rosary will be said for Ruth at 10:00 AM, December 22, 2014 at Mary Immaculate Church3. Catholic Church 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, TX 75234 and Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM with internment immediately after at Restland Cemetary. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
