Dear Kay and Carol, I don’t know if you remember me ,but we were in school together in Royse City. Dr. Kunkler was my dentist for years. I am so sad to hear of your Mother’s passing. I remember her as a very pretty and sweet lady. So sorry for your loss. Love to you and your family, Paulette Smith Newman
Mrs. Kunkler was beautiful inside and out. She truly loved her family. She “adopted” my family when we adopted our first child. When the third child came along, she and Dr. Kunkler were the first visitors to the house. I can still see us passing Baby Sarah down the pew to the Kunklers as they sat by the Pyles in the old church building. When Sarah had a dance recital in downtown Garland, the Kunklers were in attendance and brought flowers to her. Was she impressed!
At one point their daughter Kay moved to Kerrville, my hometown. The Kunklers faithfully brought my mother to visit me whenever they returned to Garland. My mother grew to love them just as we did.
I am happy that she is out of pain and confusion.

Your mom was such a lovely lady. So warm and kind and how she adored her “girls”. Your friends felt her love also! I remember when we were in SMU and went out to your home— she made us aprons and this darling hosery pouch for travel! I can still feel her warm hugs when I think about her. I know you have missed her for a long time. You and Carol were blessed to have such a kind and gentle, loving and lovely Mom.

Dear Carol, Kay and families,
This is a time of great sadness and great celebration. Your mother was an example and inspiration to me and so many others, as we transitioned into adulthood.
She was gracious, kind and an example of a loving Christian wife, mother and friend.
