Eva Fern Lank's Obituary
LANK, EVA FERN was born August 18, 1915 in Mulberry, Kansas and passed away June 19, 2014 in Mesquite, Texas. Fern was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a true picture of whole hearted, unconditional love. She was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior who lead by example by being the hands and feet of Jesus, here on Earth. Fern was selfless and strong when it came to those she cared about and as such her family saw her as the matriarch. Fern and her husband Bill, taught and enjoyed round dancing and square dancing for many years before he preceded her in death. She was a member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Harmony Class. Fern spearheaded the effort to get the Marcus Senior Annex built so seniors would have a place to gather for activities and fellowship. One of her favorite activities at the Marcus Senior Annex was performing with the Reflection Singers all over the Dallas Metroplex. She will be greatly missed and has left a lasting legacy of faith, service, and love. Preceded in death by: Husband, William John Lank, Jr.; and Son, William Bryce Lank. Survived by: Daughters, Beverly Kennedy and Marilyn Finn; Grandchildren, Mark Ashton, Neal Ashton, Tammy Martinez, and Tiffany Walker; and Great Grandchildren, Jason Ashton, Casey Ashton, Eric Ashton, Britany Martinez, Chase Martinez, and Christian Walker. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
