Eva Jo Sutherland's Obituary
Eva Joe was born October 22nd, 1932 in Dallas, TX & passed on May 17th, 2025. Born to Minnie Bell & Archie Cobb. After graduating from Hillsboro High School Eva went on to obtain her LVN License. She accepted a nursing position at Parkland hospital and moved to Dallas. After working at Parkland for many years she decided to be a private duty nurse for well known families in Dallas. Eva had a life long love of nature & animals. She proudly supported the SPCA & St. Jude Foundation. As a loving mother & grandmother I want you all to know once my body is in the ground and my soul is in heaven. I have left you but I am not sad. Please do not be sad or sad for me. Life is for the living and shouldn’t be burdened with grief. I have far exceeded my expectations of life on this earth. If I could I wouldn’t change but a few things. I have made my share of mistakes, and I’ve lived with them. I’m happy & I accept my fate. Please be happy for me. I will however accept prayers from you as parting gift. I’m survived by my loving family. My son Ernie Slaughter, Terrie O’Brien & four granddaughters with one great grandson. Jessica Fultner, Alexandra, Victoria, Brianna Slaughter & David Fultner Baca. Eva is preceded in death by her daughter Eva Gay Sutherland-Fultner. My body will reside at Restland Cemetery but my soul will forever be with God in the kingdom of heaven. Eva's Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Restland Funeral Home's Wildwood Chapel at 2:00pm followed by the interment at Restland Cemetery.
