Evelyn Stubblefield Bartholomew's Obituary
Evelyn Stubblefield Bartholomew, age 89 of Round Rock, TX, passed away peacefully at the Hearthstone Health Center in Round Rock on Monday, August 20, 2018.Evelyn, the daughter of Barnes and Tennie Stubblefield, was born on August 10, 1929, in Groveton, TX, and graduated from Groveton High School in 1948. She had two brothers, one older, Roy Dudley Stubblefield, and one younger, Raymond Clifford Stubblefield. After working various bookkeeping jobs in Tyler and Houston, she was married in 1954 to James Hayes Bartholomew. After moving to Dallas, TX, James worked for Collins Radio Company and Evelyn stayed home to raise their children. James and Evelyn raised their three sons, James, Richard and Paul in Garland, TX. She was also blessed with 3 grandchildren, Heather Ashley Bartholomew, Nathan Daniel Bartholomew and Sarah Rhea Bartholomew.She is survived by her three sons, James Hayes Bartholomew, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; Richard Ray Bartholomew of Pflugerville, TX; and Paul Bruce Bartholomew of Round Rock, TX. She is also survived by her granddaughter Sarah of Austin, TX and nephew Steven Ray Stubblefield of Dallas, TX.She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Roy and Raymond, spouse James, and grandson Nathan.There will be a graveside service at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2018
