Evelyn Agnes Boyd's Obituary
Evelyn Agnes Boyd, age 93, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 3, 2020, in Celina, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Jack Arnett, her brother’s William Arnett and Carl Arnett and her son William Moffett Boyd. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Ann Kroeker, her husband Eddie and their three daughters, Caitlin Kroeker, Bandi Oliphant and Makenzie Pancoast, all whom reside in Yukon, Oklahoma; her son Scott Michael Boyd of Plano, Texas and her daughter, Lisa Elizabeth Boyd Sealy, of Dallas, Texas; her sister Alice Stewart of Cleburne, Texas; her brother, Joe Raymond (JR) Arnett of Dallas, Texas and her brother, Marlin Arnett of Tennessee and her sister, Carey Arnett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Evelyn was born November 5, 1926 in Butler, Oklahoma to Jack and Lena Arnett. She attended South Western State University in Weatherford Oklahoma, moving to Michigan for a short time and then settled in Dallas, Texas where she met her husband, William Moffett Boyd. Bill and Evelyn were married at Perkins Chapel SMU June 20, 1952. As a stay at home mom, she enjoyed horticulture, floral design, and gardening, becoming involved with the Dallas Garden Club. Another life-long activity of hers was sewing- she made her own patterns as well as any designer, she was very talented; and of course being the mother of her four children, she cared for them and always made them feel loved and supported. Evelyn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be held at Restland Cemetery. Eulogy will be presented by David Blaylock, a friend of the family. Evelyn will be laid to rest beside her deceased former husband, William Moffett Boyd, who passed away December 25, 1980. The family would like to thank the staff of Settler’s Ridge Nursing Home, for their attention and care given to Evelyn over the years that she resided with them. Her favorite Doctor Dr. Benarji Tegala, also a big hug goes out to Betty Ray of New Century Hospice her nurse that took care of Evelyn like her own mom.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00PM on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Restland Funeral Home.
