Hill and daughter, Mary Hill Fory. Born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to J. Alvin & Mary A. Tennison. She had two brothers and one sister. Evelyn graduated valedictorian at Bald Hill, OK. Went to work at Tinker Field Air Force Base where she met her husband of 49 years. They had four children, two sons and two daughters which were raised in Hurst, TX. Together their children gave them a total of seven grandchildren and twelve (plus) great grandchildren. Evelyn helped form a group called IDKDY- a group of neighborhood ladies that would get together for tea and coffee and discuss their thoughts, family achievements and problems. Through good times and bad, that group is still getting together after 50 years. Evelyn was a parts cataloger for General Dynamics before she quit to be a lady of leisure. In year 2000 she became very ill and moved to Royse City, TX., where she lived for eight years. Evelyn will be missed by her family, friends, in-laws, and those that she just met. She could charm and influence the hearts of everyone. No one was a stranger to her. “A friend is one to whom one may pour out all of the contents of one’s heart, chaff & grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands, will take it and sift it — keep what is worth keeping — and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.” — unk. Everlyn wrote,”This says it all. I hope I was this kind of person to my friends and especially — my family.”
